Bio
Micki Kaufman is a composer, sound designer and engineer from Brooklyn, NYC. After fleeing college with a degree in musicology she began her career in the ’90’s playing anything that paid a living, from playing sitar in downtown restaurants to moonlighting as a composer, studio engineer and Pro Tools editor.
Ever since, she has been involved with a wide range of musical projects including serving as digital multi-track editor for Blues Traveler's double Platinum record “Live From the Fall (1996)”, as assistant composer and sound designer for a number of films and video shorts, and as a featured ASCAP composer at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival for the Berlin Teddy Award-winning “Concussion (2013).” These days, she is pursuing a PhD in history at the City University of New York.

Hi folks - I will be adding my songwriting ‘narrative’ describing my experience w the synth, some user tips and techniques, etc., detailing my overall experience w the amazing synquanon synth!
I just have to figure out how to edit the blog - I’m better w music sometimes!
Anyway, this contest was a blast. Thank you to Peter for his incredible musical instruments and to all the contestants, whose music was amazing. I am honored to have been part of the contest and it has been so much fun to get to know the Synquanon system up close.
